This is a beautiful, airy, spacious vacation home with quality furnishings in Harpswell Maine. It is located in Harpswell on 1 1/2 wooded acres, appoximately20 minutes from Brunswick, 35 miles from L.L Bean and 50-55 from Portland.
The coastal property is built on a small cliff overlooking the ocean. At high tide the generously sized wraparound deck stands 6 - 8 feet above the water. Our place is located on a finger of land that juts into the Atlantic ocean in such a way that we have sections of shorefront--180 feet by the house facing the open sea and another 180 feet on a protected cove in back, ideal for launching canoes or kayaks.
The house has nine rooms, including 4 bedrooms, a foyer, a 20' x 30' living room with fireplace, 18' x 20' dining room, family room, kitchen and 2 1/2 baths. The Master bedroom has its own private bathroom and a balcony overlooking the ocean. We offer a king-sized bed in the master bedroom, a double bed in another room and single beds in the 3rd and 4th bed rooms. A crib is available for a toddler if needed.
The house was designed by an architect so that all our rooms would look out upon the ocean. From the house and the deck one's view of the ocean is 180 degrees. At high tide the water comes so close to the base of the cliff that a child could easily toss a line in and fish from the deck-- that is, if the fish would venture so near.
Protective wire mesh , with 16 gauge strength, is attached all along the deck-- from the railing to the deck planks-- so that there no way that children can accidentally run, trip and tumble off the deck to the water and rocks below.
Everything that one would expect in a home away from home is provided from bedding, linens, towels, dishes, full kitchen with kitchen ware, a washer and dryer conveniently located on the second floor, just off the master bedroom.
The house has cable TV, and our phone system is wired for touch tone service. We also provide a telephone answering system. Outside we have a redwood picnic set, charcoal grill and deck furniture

Our vacation home is available for rent in the summer, from June through September and for single weeks and weekends in the fall, winter, and spring. We discount rates in the off-season, certainly, and for parties with small numbers - 4 or less...
With a private well and septic system to protect, we ask that families limit thier numbers to 6 in any given week.
Our house may also be reserved for holiday weeks - Thanksgiving, Christmas, and school vacation weeks, and for Bowdoin College Commencement week.
